The funds contributed to the restoration of the Battleship North Carolina and supported the Parkway Subaru Battleship NC Half Marathon, one of the oldest half marathons in the South, which brings the Wilmington community together.
GFL was delighted to support Cape Fear River Watch in their mission to protect and improve the water quality of the Cape Fear River Basin, one of the largest watersheds in North Carolina. With our $5,000 donation, we helped fund kayaks and canoes for volunteers who give their time to tirelessly clean up the waterways in New Hanover County.
